Never been inside so can't comment. It saves me $15 per day in parking fees though so it's worth the 5 stars. The car park operators at RCH (Spotless?), charge staff $15 per day to park in their underground car park which is disgusting really, especially considering staff are busy saving lives and keeping the hospital running at the internationally renowned standard it's known for, whereas it's free all day parking at the State Sports Centres and I get a nice bit of exercise walking to and from work each day to boot. As I said, it's worthy of 5 stars.

Great venue, played netball here years ago on outdoor courts. There were only 4 indoor courts back then. Can't believe how much it has changed. Lots if indoor courts, haven't seen the whole place, but I know there are at least 11courts. Lots of parking spaces. Very busy place, especially Saturdays.

Attended the State Netball and Hockey Centre for a hockey tournament, and it did not disappoint. Facilities are modern, amenities placed thoughtfully throughout, cafe was open with a wide selection of food and drinks.. and a limited bar! The grounds are great to play on, plenty of seating for the tournament, and Melb put on some superb weather. Parking is sometimes limited if there are multiple events however it is free and best to get there early. Trams travel past roughly every 10min into the city and out to Brunswick West. Zoo is over the tram line and short walk. Elliot Ave can get quite congested with traffic, so again, plan to arrive early if your event commences close to peak hour.

Good location to watch a field hockey match. The western grandstand tickets are definitely worth when its a sunny day! Getting there with PT is a simple, takes 10 min walk to get there.

I have a mental disability and had a terrible experience and treatment here resulting in ongoing civil action against the facility and a member of staff.I was given false information and detained in a staff room under false pretenses. If you are disabled come here at your own risk.

Very modern and newly renovated. Free parking and lovely sports facilities. Sometimes bathroomns and facilities have minor issues with cleanliness or out of order areas, but overall very much worth the visit.

Nice facilities, but would have been better if the hockey field had contained stands for spectators. Having to sit in the wind and rain is pretty average.

15 minutes ago NEW This organisation protects unfair umpires who are getting away with being bias who make kids cry for getting slapped in the face and giving the ball to the other team. That is disgraceful the game that just occurred in the Monday open team div 6 was ridiculous as a player on my team was crying for 2 quarters over getting unfair treatment and the supervisors are just as bad doing to much gossiping rather then doing there job. Umpires should pick up on the real adult bullies rather then 16 year old kids who are crying because of these rough aggressive girls
